Bonds between Molecules and Atoms

Bonds between Molecules and Atoms

-Chemistry is the subject that explains everything made of chemically and physically, you and I are made up of millions of organic compounds, Salt water does conduct electricity, N₂ gas is the main reason the sky is blue, and so on.

-In chemical studies, an atom, which is the smallest particle that matters composed of is made from electrons, neutrons, and protons. Many such atoms compose to make another group of atoms called compounds. That means they are made from two or more like or unlike atoms. Several types of such bonds are made between atoms according to the needy of the specified atom. Sometimes it depends on the category of elements in the periodic table.

- When talking about the periodic table, the leftmost column consists of the medalist elements while when moved to the right, it moderately turns from metallic to metalloid to non-metal. For example,

The 2nd row of the periodic table,

          Li, Be, B, C, N, O, F, Ne

where,

Li is a metal called Lithium which has the most reactivity considering metals.

F is a non-metal called Fluorine which has the most reactivity from non-metals.

NeHes the last element that specifically doesn't have any activity called Neon which is a gas.

And when taken from the metallic behavior, from greatest to lowest,

          Li>Be>B>C>N>O>F>Ne

Li and Be are pure metals,

B(boron) is between metal and non-metal.

   C(carbon), N(nitrogen), O(Oxygen), F, and Ne are all non-metals.

-What can you tell about the atom Ne? There is a sudden failure of its reactivity. This happens because its state is a stable ground state. As I said, An atom is a particle that has protons and neutrons and the center and electrons revolving around it. But because of time, the atoms suspend to take others' electrons or remove their own. So for example,

Na is a metal that removes its electron.

Cl is a gas that takes electrons from others.

-So Na(sodium) removes its electron, and Cl (chlorine) takes it. and they together make a compound salt called NaCl( sodium chloride).

-Not only that there can also be more and more atoms that can get paired to share electrons. Sometimes, even the same atoms do that,

Eg:-Oxygen needs 2 more electrons to make it stable, so another O atom removes 2 electrons and the other O atoms take them and do the same by removing its electron. That is why you write 2 after O when writing oxygen gas. O₂.
