Chernobyl (2019) - MiniSeries
Chernobyl is a Miniseries streamed on HBO in 2019. I want to talk about something other than Directors, Actors, Editors, etc. So Let's talk about this amazing story.
Caution! - This Article Includes Spoilers
The story begins in the Chernobyl nuclear power plant in Chornobyl, Soviet Ukraine. I don't want to briefly explain why it exploded. Simply because of a fault of the head of the power plant plus a defect which was hidden from the workers of the power plant by the Soviets. In the first episode, Dyatlov who was found guilty is refusing other engineers' ideas and forcing them to do what he tells. Other Engineers are aware of the disaster that can happen, but Dyatlov didn't care.
When the story begins after the Explosion. People are not aware of these Radioactive things so they don't know how dangerous is this explosion. They enjoy watching this explosion because this is not just fire. This fire is so colorful because of the ionized air. After they all died because of Radiation poisoning. All story is about the explosion and its effects and scientists try their best to minimize its effects even not caring about their lives. And there is a brave firefighter who gave his life to this dangerous mission. His story is also there from start to end.
There is the story of everyone who contributed to minimizing its effects. Most of them died because of radiation poisoning. For Me, this is a 4.5 out of 5 story. Highly recommended for students who are interested in Science. There is a bit disturbing scene in 3rd Episode where the brave Firefighter Vasily is in Hospital just like a living dead body. It's good if you can skip that part. And you can learn some things about nuclear reactors from this series. It's more likely a very emotional story. Not recommended for very sensitive people. But in a nutshell, it's a very good MiniSeries for me.
